Sanad Al-Haramain Browser privacy
Updated October 28, 2026
This page covers the Windows browser application. The general Sanad privacy policy also applies to Sanad websites, accounts and connected services. Websites you visit have their own privacy policies.
Data on the device
Normal history, bookmarks, preferences and website cookies are stored in the device's user profile. The application does not automatically upload local browsing history or bookmarks to a Sanad account. Normal website sessions persist between launches. Browser tools let you manage history, bookmarks and website data; clearing data may sign you out or reset preferences.
Private sessions
Private tabs use a separate in-memory session. Private visits are not persisted to local history, and session data is cleared when the final private tab closes. Downloaded files remain on disk. Private browsing does not conceal your network address or traffic from destination websites or the network provider.
Network activity and permissions
Browsing and search send requests to the destination website or search service and its provider. Recipients may receive the network address, browser type, language and request content, including search terms. The home page and account services use Sanad's website under its general policy. The application does not automatically copy Chrome credentials or sessions. Websites may request camera, microphone, location or notification access; the active site's request and Windows privacy controls determine access. Remote websites receive no Node.js access or application command bridge.
Files, protection and updates
Downloads and exported pages remain where you save them and are not automatically executed. Clearing history or closing private tabs does not delete these files. Ad/tracker lists are bundled; explicitly updating them contacts their fixed source hosts, which can see the download request and network address. Rule matching occurs within the application without sending local history to the list provider.
Microsoft Store manages updates of its installation under Microsoft's settings and policy. Standalone installations may check a public Sanad release manifest without transmitting browsing history or account information or running an installer. In-app performance information is local; copying version diagnostics or exporting a file requires an explicit action.
